Notes: This series easily could have gone better. Arizona is a good team and appears to be an even match for the Pirates. The Bucs left 51 men on base in the series, almost 13 per game. Third base (Pedro Alvarez and Josh Harrison) had zero hits in the series. Every otehr position except for pitcher had at least three. Erik Bedard was the star of the pitching staff with seven shutout innings. The other pitchers combined for a 6.21 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 29 innings.
